About Brian
Member sinceMay 7, 2008
For commercials, I can do a variety of voices: from smooth, clear, well-articulated, informative, standard announcer type to fast, high energy, youthful, "real" "man on the street" type.
For narrations, my voice has been described as warm and inviting, evocative.

Experience, training, and equipment
I have extremely varied voice experience.
I have voice over a hundred radio commercials and a few dozen TV commercials. I introduced the Best Buy company to Quebec and did all their radio and TV voice over spots for the first four months of the company's launch here. One year, I did all the radio and TV voice over spots for our local amusement park "La Ronde" which is a Six Flags company. I do the "disclaimer" which closes every TV and radio ad for Red Bull. This is ongoing and started in 2006.
I have voiced several video and PC games and video game demos. I did voice (and on camera) for the character "Sirrus" in a game of their MYST series, for Ubisoft. I also did voices for Rainbow 6 for Ubisoft. I was the lead character in both "Road to India" (as a youthful adventurer) and "Post-Mortem" (as the detective hero) for Microids.
I have done instructional video voices for Bell Canada wireless service and the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, among others.
I have done narration for our main Convention Centre (the "Palais des Congres")and the YMCA language school, among others.
I have done narration and "ghosting" of voices for series such as "The Secret Science of Everyday Things" and "How's it Made?" , among others.
I have done several cartoon voices, including a recurring character ("Jonas") in the "Caillou" cartoon series and Christmas movie, and other cartoon voices in series such as "Beaver Tales" and "Mona the Vampire."
I have a Bachelor's degree in Drama and Theatre from McGill University and Masters degree in Counselling Psychology from McGill.
I have taken dubbing and original voice workshops with directors and industry professionals Debra Toffan, Richard Dumont, and Michael Rudder.
I have been doing improv professionally for twenty years, appearing at the international Just for Laughs Festival over ten times and on the Comedy Network Improv series for both years that it ran. I have a good comedic mind and can come up with good characters quickly: funny ones- when appropriate.
I also have strong grammatical and vocabulary skills and have often helped "tweak" voice text for comprehensibility, vocabulary, flow, and, again, humour.
