I have made a living doing voice-over work for 30 years, including commercial radio voice-over, public radio voice-over,television commercial, promo and comedy voice-over, corporate videos and film voice-overs.
Some examples; I have worked for a number of years as both a DJ and news reader on canadian radio stations. This work included the recording of thousands of radio commercials and promos. I spent some time doing the daily promo breaks for a major market television station.
I produced, wrote and starred in my own radio comedy series for CBC in Canada for ten years, winning many awards. I also produced, wrote and starred in my own television comedy series on Canada's CTV Network, as well as producing, writing and starring in a number of other TV series for The Comedy Network and CBC Television. One of these series, for The Comedy Network, was a 13 episode series where we bought masters of old 1950's Dragnet episodes, stripping out the sound and recording a new soundtrack and voicetrack, providing all the male voices, to match the action on the screen. It was called "Dragnuts".
High school graduate.
I have a home studio equipped with M Audio condenser microphones, Beringer headphones and a complete Pro Tools system including "Mbox2 Pro pre-amp", and the Digidesign Pro Tools LE multi-track recording system. I also have an extensive library of sound effects. Although I do not use an ISDN line at the moment, I can FTP or email Mp3 files anywhere. This studio, by the way, is also used at the moemnt to produce a weekly political satire and comedy program for the internet.
I am a producer, writer and performer of radio and television programs through my production company. I have performed a comedy act in Canada for many years in large 2,000 seat theatres in Vancouver, Toronto, Calgary. I have performed my comedy act in the U.S. at events for the New York Stock Exchange and other locations. I am booked by an agent in Vancouver. My most recent performance was in Vancouver for an audience of 300 RCMP officers on May 21st, 2009.
