My Voice Experience
Currently, I am an audiobook narrator for Iambik Audiobooks. I have several titles available at Audible.com. I have also been narrating textbooks for Pearson Educational.
Previously, I was an announcer and writer for WOSU-FM (Columbus, Ohio), The Longhorn Radio Network (Austin, Texas), and KFUO-FM (St.Louis, Missouri). My work for Longhorn was syndicated and was broadcast throughout the US.
I am also a singer and vocal instructor and am able to perform in a variety of styles.
Since 1990, I have narrated fiction and textbooks for the Canadian National Institute for the Blind. I have adapted myself to the high standards of narration required at the CNIB. Some of the narrations I produced in the CNIB studio are available in public libraries.
My degrees are in music (B.Mus.cum laude-The Ohio State University & M.Mus.-Washington University) Singing was my minor area of study at Ohio State. While in university, I was an announcer and writer for the university radio stations. There, I also gained firsthand knowledge of studio equipment as well as recording and editing techniques.
My Studio Equipment
My studio microphones are AKG 414 and Sennheiser 441. My soundcard is an Audigy2 (Sound Blaster). I use WavePad to record and edit.
