My Voice Experience
I have been mimicking voices since I was a child, and have always enjoyed coming up with fun cartoon voices to make my friends laugh. I primarily have experience in musical theatre, and Shakespeare, so my vocal skills have come in handy while bringing the larger than life characters to life. While I'm on stage, I usually think of myself as doing voice over work, but with a body attached. I have provided a small voice over for student films, as well. In addition to performing voice work, I have served as voice and diction coach at Irvine Valley College.
I would like to start building a voice over resume, and start a career in this industry. Please do not mistake lack of credits with lack of skill, though. I have recently finished graduate school in performance, so I have not yet had the opportunity to build a professional voice over resume.

I have extensive knowledge and experience with Shakespeare, which, on the surface, might not seem like it relates, but it does. Dealing with Shakespeare as much as I have trains you to be an excellent cold reader, who can parse through tricky language with ease. It helps you quickly recognize rhetorical patterns, which lead to an immediate understanding of what is being asked of the actor, and how they should be speaking the lines. These skills carry over into all other facets of acting, including voice over.
