I have had quite a lot of stage and recording experience, in both musical theater and big band/torch cabaret venues. I have offered my services on voicemail greetings and message for voice mail in the corporate world and have had positive feedback from several voiceover auditions and agents. I've been told I have a perfect voice for radio, which is intriguing to me.
I have had extensive voiceover training at Taylor Korobow's The Voice Factory in San Francisco over the past several years. I have also trained at ACT in improvisational theater and acting. I studied voice talent and vocal training with Judy Davis in Oakland, and was one of her last graduating students. I have worked in community theater with lead roles in several musical productions for the last 25 years.
I have a family and a "regular" job, so all my voiceover and theatrical ambitions have been on my own dime and time, so to speak. I do it because I love it and I wouldn't be me without it in my life. I have great support in my family and friends, and am anxious to branch out! My "regular" job is in the securities industry, and is conducted almost entirely over the phone. My ability to promote myself as a trustworthy, friendly and likeable person via such a medium has been paramount in my success in this field.
