I am trying to break into this field now. I don't have any prior voice-over experience except that I have done telephone sales 5 years. Here is when I used my voice to promote whatever product I was selling and effectively sold for The Washington Post Newspaper for 5 years. I sold to business into travel sections, wedding specials, electronics sections and furniture. I sold to customers looking to sell their car, boat, etc. in the classified section of the paper. I had customers whom I never met in person but would say it was my voice that kept them advertising week after week. I have been mistaken for newsanchors on several occasions throughout my life. My voice can certainly best be used for audio-books but certainly to sell just about anything.
