Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology, Bacherlor's degree in Communication Disorders, former certified Speech Language Pathologist Assistant and i know very basic Spanish (currently enrolled in classes to become more fluent). I have multiple certifications, etc. in the field of speech.
Mac laptop, Mac desktop, iphone, ipad and VO equipment.
I am used to reading books to elementary, middle school, and high school students. I also have a child of my own that I read to. I listen to audio books as well. I have also worked with and read stories to the geriatric population. I would virtually make your listeners feel like they were involved in the stories/books they listen to. I would be the opposite of monotonous but simultaneously easy to listen to for long periods of time. Being a speech therapist, I have to yield these same qualities when I work with my patients and students. I speak with them for long periods of time and that requires maintaining their interest in order for them to engage, learn, and succeed (i.e. treating 3- 6th grade boys for speech for a 60 minute session you cannot, I repeat, cannot be monotone or boring or you will lose their attention). My demos that are on my profile were recorded WITHOUT special equipment that I recently bought and the demos were directly on to my desktop, therefore, if I were to be hired, I would use the new equipment where it would sound much better. I can slow down, speed up, pause more, speak differently, just let me know what you need.
