My experience in broadcasting has covered the gamut from ABC Sports to documentaries/travel features and from commercials to audio books. I've written them and I've voiced them. Each job gave me a different kind of voice over experience and coaching from a variety of talented people, including the amazing queen of VO training, Nancy Wolfson in Los Angeles.
As a freelancer, I've done many kinds of voice over work. I've read educational videos, feature stories for the Special Olympics World Games, a promotional video that aired at every NASCAR race in North America during the season, and an array of commercial and promotional work.
I'm proud to say that features I've voiced have won an Emmy award and a Cine Golden Eagle.
All of this experience gives me the ability to offer a range that's hard to find. I'm easy to work with, great with deadlines and love what I do! Give me a call and let's get it done!!
I take this whole thing very seriously. This isn't a hobby - it's my career. I have a professional, sound proof booth in my home. I use a broadcast quality Voice-tronics mic (the same kind some syndicated radio personalities use). I have a broadcast pre-amp and use sophisticated software on my Apple computer. All that technical mumbo jumbo means I'm ready to produce high-quality sound for you.
In addtion to reading scripts, I'm very experienced at writing them and know how to reach out and grab the listener by using the right words. Writing is also my passion and it goes hand in hand with voicing. The script is the silent voice and knowing how the script will sound makes me a better writer. And, of course, good writing makes for a better voice over.
