I worked with a Top 100 radio station "Y-100" as a a "phone jockey" for one of the most prominent dj's in south florida before college. I was constantly mistaken as one of the "on air talents" by callers and encouraged by my peers to pursue this as a career. I was given my "big break" by the station to do a Churches Chicken commercial and I could not say "herbs and spices"! So,I chose to focus on the production aspects of Radio/TV in college.
Today, as a business professional; I receive much of the same commentary about my voice and I am constantly being asked if I was in the radio or tv industry. Many years after my "Church's Chicken fiasco" I was given another shot; The Atlanta Braves asked if I would be the "Voice of the Braves" for their phone system. Unfortunate for me, they went with Pete Von Ahern! So,here I am stepping out and giving it a shot. Please listen to my demo and see if you feel the same.
