I have been in the television and radio news business since 1987 and understand the value of different levels of voice and sound. From Maine to Florida to Boston, I have been a main, nightly anchor and reporter. A visual and audio story teller who understands how to use my voice for effect and impact. Winner of Emmy, AP, Edward R. Murrow and Columbia duPont Awards
BA in English and French from Providence College.
I have been a news reporter and anchor in commercial television and radio in Maine, Florida and Boston. Until July, I worked at the NBC station and continue to work at the Portland Radio Group. I created the popular "Positively Maine with Tory Ryden" weekly show/podcast on WGAN.com in August, 2016
I have my own studio, using Audio-Technica AT2035 Large Diaphragm studio condenser microphone bundle. Additionally, I work out of the Portland Radio Group studios (7 radio stations)--- iRig microphone pre amp and an accompaniment of studio audio suite.
My greatest asset is my understanding of the industry and my ability to navigate within it. I am a journalist who excels within tight deadlines, delivering high quality stories, projects and audio. People respond to me: I am someone they know or at least feel they know!
