In doing narrations for church programs, community events, etc., audience members are often amazed at the richness of my voice and the ability of my voice to impact and inspire. I am constantly asked to be a narrator or reader for a wide variety of community and social events. At a former company, clients would often stop me after my phone greeting simply to comment on the pleasantness and professionalism of my voice.
During university, I trained my voice and improved speaking skills through speech and debate competitions. Not only did I get a minor in Communication, I spent countless hours practicing memorized speeches in order to be able to communicate a deep richness behind each message to make it believable. Furthermore, as a university teacher, I use my voice to empower students and have learned the power of voice in a variety of communication venues.
I am a professor of business at the university level and therefore have a broad understanding of business projects and related communications. This enables me to better understand business related projects. In fact, one course I teach is Business Communication, a course that teaches students how to choose appropriate content and the appropriate delivery of various business messages. My extensive international travel and work provides a greater since of understanding that is beneficial in all forms of communication.
