I got into VO totally by accident. I have one of those voices that people have often commented on by saying "you have a great voice have you ever considered getting into Voice Over?" For the longest time I just said thanks and no I have never considered Voice Over work. Then one day a few years ago my friend who owns a local ad agency called me in a panic because his VO talent for whatever reason had canceled on him at the 11th hour. He needed me to do three different 30 sec radio spots for a local college. I was reluctant at first but with a little persuading he talked me into it. The end result was that the client loved me and it just seems to come naturally to me. Since then I have helped him out on many projects with great success.
I have a college degree in marketing from Chico State University. While I talked alot in class it did not really prepair me for VO work or did it? I have been a student of Ray Nakamoto of Nakamoto Productions in Sacramento California and he has really helped take my voice to the next level. As a coach Ray does not miss a thing and as a result I have learned alot. I am also very active in various local VO workshops.
While my home studio is getting remodled I am using the professional studios of Nakamoto productions for all my VO work
I will be sure that you get what you need from me in a timely professional matter. I look forward to working with you and helping with your projects!
