My voice experience started as a child, when I used to mimic stars and teachers. I studied acting quite extensively through a local acting coach, Carrie Houk. She taught me how to go beyond mimicking to living in the character and its context.
I started with some on camera work. But was blessed for an opportunity to be the voice of the main character for a live action video game at a theme-park in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Becoming the arch-enemy, the Dragon, was fun. Then later I was asked to take-on a couple of the other characters, and impersonate those who had originally done the part. Those characters, and my renditions are in my profile under the Goblin King, and the Dark One.
As I mentioned above, I studied acting quite extensively through a local acting coach, Carrie Houk. She taught me how to go beyond mimicking to living in the character and its context. She was my greatest influence.
I did some classes earlier through Images of St. Louis, a local talent agency. And through them was part of a company that competed in Los Angeles against people from all over the country.
I have also taken stand-up comedy classes at the Funnybone Comedy Club.
And there is my Bachelor of Arts in Cinema Production from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale; which helped me understand another facet of production for the audience.
I have training in on-camera acting.
