Tim Franklin graduated from QUT with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Acting) in 2010. Shortly after graduating Tim secured a job as an online content creator for MTV, writing and directing their popular skit show ‘Bad Interns’. He has appeared in countless short films and independent theatre productions around Sydney such as ‘Tender napalm’ at The Old Fitz theatre and ‘Ghost Stories’ performed at the Sydney Opera House to critical acclaim. Tim played a leading role as ‘Home and Away’s’ audience favourite police officer Colby Thorne. He got to put the uniform back on again starring as another police officer in the crime drama "The Last King of the Cross". In his down time Tim has been honing his comedy craft by appearing in open mic comedy nights around Sydney. Using these skills in 2022 in the sketch comedy amazon production “The Moth effect”. He is also the co-creator, writer, director and lead actor for the comedy drama iAm, a kickstarter funded project. He also created his own preposterous podcast "Okay But What If" a Spotify Original. He landed his first feature film role in "Before Dawn” a war epic set to hit screens in 2024. He has also just wrapped on David Leitch’s latest blockbuster “The Fall Guy” playing opposite Ryan Gosling set to hit the big screens in 2024.
