2009 - 2012:
I have been doing voice over recordings for my current company for the past three years. These recordings are for e-learning language training. The listeners are students who are learning English through the audio performances on the podcasts. Therefore, the recordings demand a range of characters, anglophone nationalities and changes in tone/intonation. The primary focus is clarity and pitch.
I have a Master's in English. The focus of my thesis was Irish theater and drama. Part of my assignement included a performance of a mad woman in a psychiatric ward, for which I received top marks!
After university, I worked as a live solo pianist in Dublin. I then moved to Paris where I played piano and sang jazz and Irish songs with a red-haired Irish lass.
From 2001 onwards, I have worked as an English language teacher, instructor trainer and voice-over for an online English training company.
Because I have over ten years in English instruction, I can offer suberb quality in clarity of voice recordings, slow pace when required and good timing. As a teacher, I have years of performance experience (from simulation and role-play), so I can offer my acting skills to change roles quickly when needed.
