RING ANNOUNCER for over 300 professional boxing shows in Asia/Pacific, including several world title fights. I have also emceed for professional pool tournaments, beauty pageants,and hundreds of other shows. I ring announced for a fight in Manila in front of 100,000 people, a world record. I'm the only known person to have ever ring announced a major cockfight in the Philippines. As a ring announcer I've worked in Hawaii, the Philippines, Guam, Hong Kong, Singapore and Thailand.

I'm a Communications and Theatre graduate of the University of Michigan with an emphasis on voice studies, behind the microphone and on-camera work. Everything else I've learned from experience and on-the-job.
I'm also a working journalist and author. My first book, “Hey, Joe--a slice of the city, an American in Manila” offers readers 33 humorous and sometimes eye-popping stories relating the foreigner’s viewpoint of life in Manila.
My second book, “The Traveler and the Gate Checkers," is a collection of five travel narratives telling of my journeys through various Asian countries like India, Japan, Hong Kong, Thailand/Laos and the Philippines.
