My sole experience is that I am the "the voice of Murad" (my place of business) I am the voice over greeting to a multi- million dollar company. Chosen by Richard Murad COO himself!
We had a contest about 5 years ago; to see who would be the greeting voice for Dr. Murad as he is a world renowned Dermatologist.
I submitted my voice and the rest is history.
The real experience has been my phone sales and customer service for almost 10 years. I consider that my playing field. Having to be each customer's friend, ear, guide, mentor, and yes, sometimes therapist has taught me to change hats approximately 50 to 80 times a day. One must get creative and inflect as well as adjoin tones to match the customer's mood so as to create a bond. My customer's have told me time and time again that I have a beautiful voice and that they love hearing it. That combined with the fact that I performed in school as well as college makes me feel equipped in auditioning today. I'm hoping that you too will enjoy it.
My talent is self taught. I was a stay at home mom for nearly 23 years. My love for cooking lead me to school and acquiring an AA in Culinary Arts. This then lead to a chef's position at the Playboy Mansion West for 2 years until a shoulder injury changed my career. I have had to use my voice for the last 10 years to entice customers to purchase my companies products and have held the highest sales quota for the entire length of that 10 years. I attribute this to the soothing and trusting affect my voice has andthe fact that people like listening to it.
I've long wished to use my voice in recordings, greetings, and voice over work in general as it would allow me to create while still being in the back ground.
As an employee of the Playboy mansion I had to interact with multiple celebrities who also complimented me on my voice and asked why I was not using it to do voice over work.
At that time in my life I was not able to look in that direction, but I am now. With lots of enthusiasm!
