I was the test system voice for Nuance before it was spun-off from SRI International. I've also done narration for the Archdiocese of San Francisco when it recorded the changes to the Mass for priests throughout the United States.
I started by taking several classes in voice-over work including an advanced seminar. I also had one-on-one coaching.
I completed course work for an MA in Speech and Drama at The Catholic University of America with a concentration in directing.
For many years, I worked in community and dinner theatre in the DC area. Here in the Bay Area, I’ve been an active Toastmaster for over 20 years. I also lector at my church, do Communion Services at Juvenile Hall, and facilitate Alternatives to Violence community, jail, and prison workshops.

At SRI for 24 years, I began in the Center for Resource and Environmental Systems Studies, mainly working on projects for the Environmental Protection Agency, the Department of Energy and the Air Force. After four years, I moved to the Computer Industries Department, where we consulted for companies around the world on a wide variety of projects including storage media, telecommunications, and information security.
I ended my career at SRI working in information security as a Senior Consultant and Deputy Director of the International Information Integrity Institute (I-4). I-4 was a multi-client project of over 100 major corporations worldwide. Our client contact was typically the corporations Chief Information Security Officer. As part of this job, I managed three major 4 day forums each year--two at client headquarters around the United States and one at a client headquarter in Europe. I feel very fortunate to have been able to visit London, Basel, Oslo, Helsinki, Utrecht, Berlin and other European cities as well as many different cities in the United States as a result.
For several years I was the VP--Member Services for The Information Security Forum--another multi-client. ISF was based in London.
My first job out of college was with the National Office Products Association in Washington, DC, first as Secretary to the Director of Publications and Public Relations and then as Exhibits Manager, running office products exhibits in the New York Coliseum and Chicago's McCormick Place.
