As a relative newcomer to the profession, I haven’t yet had the opportunity to showcase my work, but I do have a background in vocal presentation. I am an experienced high school language teacher and I “performed" to an audience every day as a teacher, class adviser, and Exchange Program Coordinator at my school.
Voice has always fascinated me, and I think I’m a frustrated news anchor at heart!!! For a time early in my teaching career, I dabbled with Broadcast Journalism and worked a bit as a weekend news anchor for a local radio station. Now I’m trying to get back to it with a more modern slant and direction!
I also serve as the Reader Coordinator of our parish and I’m an experienced lector. I take particular pride in being able to relate the story of a passage to the listener and I try to make scripture more meaningful and relevant. I am also a regular reader for the televised daily Mass in the archdiocese of Hartford.

Have completed Phase 2. Demo recorded.
I currently have an Audition Quality Home Studio.
I use an iMac and record and edit with both Audacity and GarageBand. I currently use a Blue Snowball USB microphone and Audio Technica headphones but I am looking to upgrade my equipment and my studio as I progress. I get enjoyment from experimenting with and exploring the capabilities of familiar and not-so-familiar technologies. I just love to learn and to improve and take every class I can! I am very comfortable incorporating music tracks and sound effects with my recordings. I always seek out continual and consistent training, learning all that I can about technique, quality equipment, recording and editing programs and anything associated with voiceovers to make my work the best it can be.
Actually, I’m a great proofreader or editor. After many years in the teaching profession as a language teacher, I have a natural ability with grammar, spelling, syntax and punctuation. The incorrect use of an apostrophe drives me insane! Not very exciting to be sure, but I can catch an error from a mile away. If anyone needs grammatical help with a script, I’m your person!
