Steve Mize is a Professional Actor and writer currently based in Los Angeles.
You've seen him on TV, including Grey's Anatomy, Station 19, Bones, Lie To Me, Ironside & the series finale of E.R.
He's appeared in over 40 commercials in NYC & LA. for products such as McDonalds, AT&T, Bud Lite, Sealy, Best Buy, Chase, TV Land, HBO, Reynold's Wrap & Mercedes.
He received the "Best Comedian" award, Off-Broadway, NYC for his first original Solo Play, "Life, Audited" that also received awards in San Francisco & Los Angeles before touring the country.
In New York City, Steve has worked with the New York Theatre Workshop, Circle in the Square-Downtown, Primary Stages and the John Montgomery Theater Company.
As a lifetime member of The Actor’s Studio, Steve performed in Orphans, Staten Island Ferry, and They Eat Their Young.
He has been the lead in over a dozen short films and is an award winning member of ToastMasters International and a professional speaker.
Steve is also an All-Star storyteller from The Moth, and performs original stories in Los Angeles with the Echo Theater Company, Muse Salon, Trunk Show, “I Love A Good Story” (podcast), Gorgeous Stories, Beyond Baroque, Fanatic Salon, Spark Off Rose, Shine, Stranger Than Fiction. Several of his stories have appeared on podcasts of these same shows.
Steve graduated with an M.F.A in Acting & Playwriting from the inaugural class of The Actors Studio program at the New School in NYC, where he worked with or under the tutelage of Estelle Parsons, Arthur Penn, Austin Pendleton, Gene Lasko, Ellen Burstyn, Martin Landau, Julie Harris and Al Pacino.
While an undergraduate at Texas A&M University, he toured the American Premier of South Africa’s Saturday Night at the Palace, for which he won a Best Actor in the Regional ACTF Festival.
