I've worked the last 5 years as "the voice" of BeaconLive a webinar and audio event provider. I was a lead moderator for audio and webinar lectures for audiences of up to 500 people. My role was to introduce the lecture and provide instructions to the audience for technical support. I introduced and read bios for presenters in various industries such as healthcare, law, finance, HR and publishing. I lead Q and A sessions which involved introducing callers and reading email questions, and also closing comments. I was the main voice for recording commercials and hold messages provided by the customer leading the events. Part of my role for Beaconlive was also recording telephone prompts for our standard audio conferencing platform, which was used by over 200 companies.
In my younger years as a babysitter, storytime was my favorite part of the job. My "charges" loved having me read stories due to my impeccable and natural ability to create different voices for every character. In the beginning of my theater career (2nd grade) I was always the narrator for our school plays. Despite my disappointment at not being able to play one of the three little pigs, I was very good at my narrating position.
Theater Major at Emerson College in Boston.
Recorded Training Webinars and Audio productions at BeaconLive.
Various theatrical productions in the Boston area.
I currently have a Plantronics noise cancellation microphone, as well as various audio editing software which I have used for editing, voice effects and mixing tracks for narration or music.
I have provided voice overs and recordings for various industries, therefore requiring me to become familiar with terminology I would not normally use. If I was unable to ask about a pronunciation, I have no issues looking it up online rather than guess. There have been medical conferences in which I used an audio website to teach me to pronounce 6 syllable words as if I said them every day. I know how to speak a long sentence without running out of breath, and I can begin said sentences by taking a giant yet silent inhale ahead of time, yet also control my voice after to not sound like I'm holding my breath to make it through the sentence. I can read something funny without laughing, and I can read something ridiculous without making it sound like I think it's ridiculous.
