I am a storyteller. I have been performing professionally since 2003, although have been telling stories to groups since 1990. I have won awards for all my storytelling recordings, which include many character voices. Many of the characters talk to one another and I am known for fast dialogue delivery between characters, both in live performance and on recordings.
I have also done local radio commercials since 2010. Mainly for WGXL in Lebanon, NH.
I am self taught and make a living at what I do. I have done workshops with Elizabeth Ellis, Odds Bodkin and Bill Ratner.
I use Presonus Studio One for my DAW and have recently purchased a SE 220 a ii microphone. My studio is very well sound treated. I also have access to a Rode NTK and various Shure microphones. I work with a colleague who can add sound effects and do radio production with me.
When I moved to the States in 1994 I worked in corporate America, for WorldCom, Allaire (purchased by Macromedia, and then Abdobe) and have worked in schools and for non-profits. During my corporate years, I attended a great deal of training. I understand what it is like to sit listening to a tedious presentation. I also trained a number of people while at WorldCom, so know how to keep folks interested in what they are learning - even with dry subject matter.
I worked in the arts as a photographer and in the hospitality industry before moving to the States, all of which gives me a broad background I can identify with and understand. I have worked with the upper crust of England, CEO's and CFO's in America, as well as artists, warehouse workers, bankers and folks in the health industry and education at all levels. All this I can then bring to my recordings.
