Drama during my school years laid the foundation for my radio career in Dallas. I started in radio my Senior year in college and have made my living as on air talent and an account executive simultaneously for 25 years in DFW. I'm always open to stretching myself which has lead to multiple on camera opportunities as well for commercials and infomercials both locally and nationally (Dallas Gold and Silver, American Gold and Diamond Exchange, Carolina Furniture Co., Saturn Dealers of North Texas, and more). When called upon, I'm a marketing partner as well leading to long term relationships with clients like Mattress Giant (local and national), Dalworth Clean, Sam Pack Ford, Jeff Brand and associates (radio show co-host) and more. I understand the client's goal: for the listener/viewer to either do or believe something about that message. And I think that inherent understanding produces a better commercial product.
3.8 years of college, Cooke County Community College and Oral Roberts University, concentrating on Drama as well as Radio/TV. Mostly real life experiences as an afternoon drive personality on 94.5 fm in Dallas as well as weekend personality on KLTY for a short time. I've been with CBS Radio both in Marketing and as a voiceover talent for the 16 years. Writing my clients commercials as a radio account executive has been very helpful in developing my understanding of the script. I am a Such A Voice producer/teacher and coaching others helps me to grow my vocal ability as well.
I have ready access to our CBS Radio studios in Dallas and have my own ProTools software for professional production at home or on the road.
I'm a marketer. I understand demographics and how to target and activate a specific audience.
I can write commercials.
I can coach clients who want to do their own commercials or new voice talent needing direction.
I know the electronic media world, both radio and television as an active and successful participant in the 5th largest market in the country since 1985.
