I have been voicing projects since 1988. I started with student projects at University of Texas and proceeded to cultivate my voice in commercials, radio spots and documentaries.
My proudest work has been translating fifth grade textbooks into lively and vibrant pieces of entertainment that makes the sutdents want to learn. It started with a request from my old fifth grade teacher. She did not have money to do this but I easily carved the time because of the importance of this project. The kids responded so well that it blossomed into a district wide request.
Most of my training came after the University of Texas where I pursued a double major Film/Finance. I started a post production company in 1992 called S. Lawrence Post. We were the first non-linear editing facility in the country that was completely digital. This company was sold and still exists in Austin, Texas as 1080 INC. While there we cut commercials for clients such as Sea World, Southwest Airlines, Motorola, Dell, Supershow Deportivo and many more. I commanded a crew of 15 employees and am proficient in Avid, Quantel Edit Box and Pro Tools. In addition, we installed a Scenaria II audio facility used to layback audio to video.
Originally an editor by trade my first system was a CMX then Sony BVE series linear editors. I am old enough to remember quad tape!
