My first experienc with voice over was for an audition I did for The San Francisco's Childeren Zoo. I was 9yrs old and my agent called me in to read for this radio ad. I had never had any voice over classes and really had no idea what to do and just read it like a regular script. I was suppossed to be an VERY excited kid at the zoo running from exhibit to exhibit amazed by everything I saw, and since I love animals it was easy for me to imagine actually being at the zoo seeing all these wonderful creatures. My agent submitted my track and the casting studio, BBDO West, LOVED it and hired me. When I went in to record the ad it only took 2-3 takes because they liked how I did it. They even said they would have used my audition tape it was spot-on! My next gig I booked was for a Wal-Mart test market. By now I had had several voice over auditions under my belt, taken some classes with a voice over coach and felt more at ease in the booth. After booking this I realized voice over is a fun alternative to acting on camera that I'd like to pursue. I started dancing at the age of three and acting at the age of seven. Performing at such an early age has instilled the dicipline and responsibility needed in this field, while still allowing me to be a kid and have fun!
