My existing VO experience is best detailed as an amalgam of years of stage and screen work as both an actor and director. I have worked my voice sans mic in large houses and w/ mic in small studios and have learned the differences, the nuances of both styles.
I spent several years learning the art of live Theater, beginning in high school then summer stock and local community theater followed by university studies in the Theater department at Colorado State University. After that, I did semi- and fully professional stage work including Musical Theater and several years of Children's Theater (my personal favorite) with the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center Repertory Company.
That experience was converted to the screen in about 2001 leading to my move to Los Angeles a few years later. Since that move, I have studied with The Second City, Margie Haber and Jocelyn Jones (long time teacher at the BHP), among others. I have also gotten into film production in the past few years in which I have both issued and received VO work in different film projects.
Coming from a stage background, I have a strong sense of commitment and follow through, in addition to years of experience using my voice on both stages and sets. You can trust that any project issued to me will be handled with the utmost professionalism and care.
In addition to acting/VO, I served the the US Army(1989-92) and I have a heavily tech-based background (years of corporate IT work behind me), which has enabled me to quickly comprehend both the artistic and technical aspects of television and film production including such things as Cinematography, Sound Recording and Editing.
I will bring more answers than questions to you and your production.
