I have never done a voice over. However as I am sitting here typing, I am using a different voice for every word. I amaze my family and friend with my ability to change my voice tones, imitate characters, and impersonate people. I work in the recreation industry and we often have the opportunity to interact with customers, especially children. If they are hurt (usually just cuts) or lost, I try to cheer them up with a silly voice. I would have never thought to do voice overs until a friend suggested I try. So here I am. A humble husband and father of four with an awesome voice! (so much for humble).
No formal training! That is what makes me so unique. If I actually trained, I would probably hate my voice.
I dont have a studio.
As I said, I am in the recreation industry. I have worked at waterparks, golf courses, amusement parks my entire life. Being around children and characters has allowed me to be animated and use my voice talents. This industry has also allowed me to use PA systems a lot, which is where I truly discovered the flexibility of my voice talents. I am a hard worker with an amazing work ethic. I also love having fun with everything I do, so I am a true fit.
