"Are you on TV or Radio?!" is the question that I am always asked on a daily basis (and that's no exaggeration) by strangers that I come in contact with on a daily basis. Whether it's in a grocery store, mall, bank, or barbershop, people swear they've heard me on the latest movie trailer, or maybe even their favorite commercial. I guess you can say that I've been blessed with a natural, attention grabbing speaking voice. I laugh when I reminisce about my childhood growing up when puberty hit…like a freight train! My voice went from Little Orphan Annie high to Barry White low, almost overnight! I remember answering the roll call on my first day in high school. When I answered the teacher to let her know I was present, she had to do a double take because she thought she had a much, much older student (more like 30-something year old) in her class!! This natural gift has allowed me to have my voice broadcast via voicemail, in-store welcome recordings, radio commercials, and informative narrations for documentaries. The latest project that I have the privilege to work on is an audiobook for a children's story.
Although I love commercial reads, if you ever have a need for someone who can read technical information (ie engineering terms, business terms, etc), I'm your choice, being that my career in past lives was that of a financial analyst and aeronautical engineer!
