My voice overs include recordings made for German TV, narrating in German the life of Chilean writer Skarmeta and his experiences whilst living in exile in that country. Originally hired to voice over only the writer's voice, the final customer requested that I narrate the documentary in its entirety because of the qualita of my voice.
Learning English can be enhanced by listening to original stories on audio flies. I did a number af recordings in Chile of textbooks for students of English.
Also in Chile the Teatro Municipal need a recording of German narration for a production of the jistory of German immigration to Chile. I provided that voice.
Recorded a selection of German poetry written by Willhelm Busch, an 18th century German poet, writer and satyrist.
I studied in Chile, but finished High School and University in New York. Whilst I studied Economics, and upon returning to Chile after living and working in The US, the Carribbean and Spain, I joined a German theatre group in Chile. We had various training sessions including body language, voice projection, facial expression, all taught by professionals from Germany. At university I took several courses relating to music, speech, writing and communication skills, as well as other subjects as elective courses.
Performed in at least eight plays (in German) in leading roles as well as narrating a performace with the Philharmonic Orchestra in Chile under the direction of Juan Pablo Izquierdo of Goethe's "Egmont" to which Beethoven composed the incidental music. It was a live performance in front of a 2500-odd audience.
I am a flexible, perfectly tri-lingual culturally aware and sensitive person. My work has taken me all over Europe, Latin America, the US and Canada, enabling me to disassemble some of the prejudicial barriers that we are all guilty of.
