My first voice over experiences were in Lusaka, Zambia (Africa) in the late 70's and early 80's, doing lite work on Zambian natiional radio and television, during college. I was able to write some of my own material in many cases and appeared in late-night "epilogues". These were the nightly sign-offs to Zambian national television. (I had the privilege of putting Zambia "to sleep" at night.)
After 20+ years (yikes!) of sales experience in computers and educational technology, I have decided to return to the microphone this year. I hope to pull from a variety of experiences and knowledge gained over the last 20 years in sales, technology work and occasional performing. I also hope to tap into significant performance work done in college in the oral interpretation of literature.
In college I earned degrees in Speech Communication and French. I studied under Dr. Jerry Reynolds in the Communication Studies department (Baylor Univ) and performed in multiple Reader's Theater productions over a 2 year period.
For the past two years, I have performed on weekends with the Verrily Merrily Madrigal Singers, out of Arlington, Tx, doing acapella music from the English Renaissance period for a variety of audiences.
This summer (2008) I completed an introductory course in voice overs by Linda Obrian in Dallas (KD Studios).

Since 1998, I have been actively involved in educational technology sales to public schools, with two companies: Scientific Learning Corporation (Oakland, CA); and Headsprout Early Reading (Seattle, WA). My work with these organizations has led to over 600 sales presentations for groups ranging in size from 10 to 200 participants, in a territory stretching from Arkansas to California.
I have a rich experience in sales and communicating to groups of many sizes.
