My entire life has been an experiment in voice acting!- From that first "Parent teacher" conference where I was labeled as someone whos voice "Carried",-to Jr.High where my impersonations of teachers tended to get me in hot water,-and on to High school drama class ,where all I was ever interested in where the "Narrator" rolls.
My time on the air began when I signed up as a combat radio operator in the U.S Army, right after graduating High School. Even though I've been an x-ray tech for the past 17 years, my passion has always been voice work ! I am going into my 6th year, working as a guest D.J on the KGON ,92.3fm radio show ,"Dawn of the Dead" w/Concert Dave, anniversary special. I do song intros, prize descriptions, lead ins to commercial breaks, and have Greatful Dead trivia talk. All live and on the air !
I have been on stage locally here in Portland many times introducing bands and opening for them playing my Didj-er-ee-doo. While working in the medical field, random folks have been telling me for YEARS that my voice is golden and needs to be out there. Questions from patients like,"Have you ever been in Radio?" "Wow,you have a great voice"? where common place.
This is a career choice I feel i have always been destined to make. The time is NOW. Any and all opportunities will be done in a professional manner in an actual FM radio production room that I am lucky enough to have access to. Having a friend thats a DJ has its benafits! Help me build my resume by helping you with your voice acting needs. Thanks !-R.T
