I work part-time at WNRN (91.9 fm Charlottesville, VA) doing the news and sound bits of a humorous nature. My full-time job is a trial attorney (fifteen years) where volume, tenor, timing, intonation, grammar, vocabulary and mood building are essential tools. I sang with Barry Manilow in concert.
I owe my abilities to my parents who, when I squeeled as a child, always told me to lower my voice and ALWAYS corrected my speech. My experience with a school radio station, my singing lessons and experience as well as my love of making people laugh with accented voices is my classroom.
I hold a Class C radio broadcast license. My experiences as a trial lawyer in court, a teacher in paralegal school, and even reading in church have all prepared my voice for employment.
