I've voiced many commercials for radio as well as a few feature length documentaries and telephone "on-hold" messages. I've also voiced for radio station imaging and liners and tag lines as a voice actor.
I have an undergrad in communications and an MBA and have worked in and around a few different environments to include space communications with the Air Force, as an on-air personality with American Forces Network (AFN) in Frankfurt, Germany, and currently within the field of aviation for the Army. In a life previous to DoD pursuits, I worked in commissioned sales and as a securities broker in finance. In short, I have a broad-based background and understand a little to a lot about a broad range of things. My background allows me to better relate, therefore, to a wide-ranging and diverse audience. I'm also a writer for fun and profit. Fun projects include a couple of children's books and screenplays. Additionally, I continue to study voice acting and probably always will.
I have a few mid and higher end microphones to include an MXL, Audio Tecnica and Electro-Voice RE27. I run the XLR mics through a simple - but good - Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 audio interface. It's a clean set-up that allows for either PC or Mac interface. I have Mac and PC based digital audio software (DAW)and a decent music bed library. I find that for most of what I've done, Cool Edit still works best. My recording office is a 4X6 Whisper Room and, since I produce myself most of the time while at home, my gear is inside the booth - which nicely controls ambient audio and allows me to produce otherwise tight audio.
