I came into into the world of voice talent by way of Mama Bear.
As a little girl, I used to LOVE hearing my mom read Berenstain Bears books out loud to me. She got INTO it! Different voices for different characters, distinct vocal inflections and dramatic pauses for important passages, the whole nine. In fact, I loved her readings so much that we recorded an audiobook on cassette so I could listen her read the books whenever I wanted to (she’s a damn fine mother, but no one wants to read “Berenstain Bears and The Sitter” five times in a row. No one.)
Anyway I tell you this to give you a little background about why I love voice work. There is nothing better that making printed words come alive. It wasn’t until years after my Berenstain Bears-lovin’ childhood came to an end that I realized voice work is actually a talent. Not everyone has the ability to interpret the written word into something meaningful, exciting, and attention-grabbing.
Over the past eight years I've done just about any type of voiceover you can imagine! Radio and TV commercials for anything from upscale jewelers to car dealerships. On-hold and IVR recordings, children's interactive books and games, online video narration, radio station imaging, even an intro for an "adult" website and hotline.
