In the l990s and early 2000s, heading a public relations firm, I often found myself providing the talent for client radio campaigns. These usually involved public policy and sometimes election issues.
In 2008, the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation decided to revive some 60 of Mr. Reagan's radio commentaries from 1975-79. His then-daily program at one time ran on more than 300 stations. The Foundation felt that some of these remained timely today. They asked me to write and do voice for intros for the series that they offered to stations. Some 80 stations carried the series.. My demo contains a sampling of the intros I did (along with Reagan's own commentaries).
Beginning in January 2009 I have written and provided voice for a series of spots sponsored by a non-profit association, Sunshine for Humboldt. Some are commentaries about civic issues; others introduce leaders of various local sights and attractions.
