My whole career has been in television, starting in the Programme Planning Department of Westward Television in Plymouth, through to the Presentation Department.
Finally I become a Continuity Announcer at Westcountry Television and Carlton for ITV, since 1996 (until ITV consolidated and moved to London).
For fun, I joined Hospital Radio at Plymouth Hospital and managed my own show, including reporting on local events and anything newsworthy in the region.
At school, I stayed on into the Sixth Form and achieved high standards in all my examinations.
In television work, apart from announcing, I was used to scheduling/logging programmes and timing output down to the last split second and so have an extensive knowledge of television broadcasting in general.
I have had radio experience but only via Hospital Radio, mentioned above. I trained myself really!
I have taken part in Seminars conducting workshops all over the country as a Comedy Writer and Secretary to the Comedy Writer's Association of Great Britain, selling sketches to Britain and Germany.
My voice has been well and truly heard over a period of years in one way or another!
I do not have my own studio but know someone who does!
I have no knowledge about audio engineering whatsoever, apart from very basic controls on a desk in a continuity studio.
All I have at home is an mp3 recorder.
I am used to addressing large numbers of people and enjoy communnication on any level.
I have written numerous poems for children to perform in Drama Competitions and speeches for weddings and funerals. I enjoy writing.
I am a digital artist and sell my work to Galleries here in Cornwall and also enjoy pen and ink drawing.
I am a very creative person, used to peforming on all levels. I sing in a choir and act in the local theatre.
