I may work in radio for the last 8 years, but I do NOT sound like what most would believe that a DJ should sound like, which has worked for quite a few things in my career so far. I've had an opportunity to do a range of vocal work, including local commercials, community calendar announcements, and promos for songs on the National radio station Air1. Also, I've helped voice work for YouTube videos and Life insurance company's website videos, including Valic. Besides my natural, young adult woman voice, I've performed as a very young girl, southern belle (originally from TX myself, so I can pick it back up really easily), and vocal work with a slight Hispanic accent. For commercials and phone work, I was the voice for Berlin City Car Dealerships, plus I have experience of serious reading with 2 years of news background. For commercials, I have done everything so far from smooth and jazzy feel, to a country twang, to excited and pumped up, and cool and sexy.
I graduated from Baylor University with a BA in Film and Digital Media in May 2007. I interned with 3 different radio stations--89.3 FM KSBJ, Star 92.9 FM, and NewsTalk 1230 AM--where I was used for a couple of commercials. I started my radio career at Magic 104.5 FM almost 8 years ago, where I voiced and produced at least 100+ commercials/promos. I have also worked at 96.9 KVMV, 2 years at nationally known Air1 Radio, where I was the evening on-air talent and afternoon show producer, CBS's Mix 96 in Sacramento, CA for about 6 months as fill-in Middays DJ, and now Evening DJ at award-winning KVNE back in TX for 2 years! I've also done multiple music promos and community calendar voice-overs for local signals across the country.
I have Adobe Audition and VoxPro at my disposal, plus Senheiser mics and some fantastic mixers!
I know how to use Cool Edit Pro and Adobe Audition very well (have used both for 9 years). I love audio production---I have studied it and worked with it for 6 years. I was an Audio Engineer for almost 2 years in college. I love to read and have been reading since I was 3. I do not have any accent, even though I was born and raised in the south, but if it is needed for something, I can bring it out. I also have done at least 40 voice over projects for another Voice-over company (hello "Bunny" lovers, hint hint)
