I am currently working at my college radio station, usually on the air announcing songs/weather/news/updates or anything else that needs to go on the air. I recorded a commercial to promote a play I was in, a short 30-second clip that was on the air for a month or so. My biggest experience with working with my voice has been my heavy involvement in theater, learning how to project different emotions to an audience and to use different accents/dialects in a convincing way.
I have been involved in theater since high school, being involved in most productions there, and I am still heavily involved in my college's theater program. I've been fortunate enough to have been cast in major roles in most productions, including "Hamlet" (Claudius), "The Glass Menagerie" (Jim), "Little Shop of Horrors" (Mr. Mushnik), and "The Miracle Worker" (Captain Keller).
I have also been heavily involved in music, having been in choir since high school and all the way through college, including chamber choirs and the "elite" campus choir. I have had 4 years of private voice lessons 2 years of voice/body warm-ups at my college.
I have a BLUE Nessie Adaptive USB microphone, which is what I used for my voice demo. For the moment, I'm using Audacity to record, but I hope to purchase a more "professional" program soon. Also, I have access to some of the recording equipment at the radio station I'm employed at, so there are higher-quality microphones to use for recording. They currently use Adobe Audition and SoundForge for their recordings.
I have a great attitude and am willing to learn whatever I can to improve myself and my skills.
