Well, it was a long time ago in Atlanta, GA - I was an amateur actress and also dabbled in Improv Comedy and I heard through Creative Loafing Newspaper that someone needed a person who could do accents and celebrity voices for an answering machine tape that he was selling.
I answered the ad - showed up at the studio with a few lines I'd written and off we went - I did Tammy Faye Baker, Dolly Parton, Joan Rivers, and Dr. Ruth Westheimer - it was a blast!!
Before that I did a short few months working at Channel 11 in Atlanta reading stock market quotes over a recorded message. "Gold is up, silver is down, the Nasdaq is at 324 and falling...." etc etc!
I've done a bit of community theatre acting recently and would love to get back to voice work.
Give me a chance!! I am a hard worker and very flexible with time.
I have a BA in Communications from Georgia State University.
My theatre experience goes all the way back to high school.
I worked profesionally in theatre for about a year doing dinner theatre shows up in Greensboro, North Carolina.
I have acted in musical theatre, comedies, and improv comedy and skit shows.
