I worked for the BBC as a Presenter, Editor, Reporter, Producer for over 20 years. I did all sorts of radio and TV programmes: news&Current affairs,
documentaries, arts programmes, sports, business, series of special educational programmes. I presented all these programmes live & pre-recorded in Arabic & English. For the special series, I did my own promos: wrote and recorded them. Listeners the world over write to me constantly saying how much they love my voice and my style of presenting. Some ask for my programmes to be aired again and again.
I have also done so voice - overs for other parts of the BBC mainly BBC TV, Amnesty International and so many other places.
I also used my recordings when training new broadcast journalists.
My voice training came essentially during my career at the BBC and the huge variety of programmes I was involved in. I learnt the different styles that match the nature of each programme. This applies to reporting as well.
I reported on elections for Radio TV in both Arabic & English in various parts of the Arab world, Conferences in the Middle East and Europe, International Book fairs, Media & Business seminars etc.
I can record & edit digitally in a studio and operate a small digital recorder. I can learn how to do that on my personal computer.
Apart for my long and rich experience with the BBC, I worked as translator from French into English and Arabic in Tunis in 1986. Currently, I write and publish in both Arabic & English on various issues related to the Arab world especially my home country, Tunisia. I also write on relations between North Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa. I get interviewed on all those and I'm learning Spanish.
I can do voice-over for TV in any of the languages mentioned above and appear on TV as well.
