From commercials to talking books to TV documentaries to industrials, I've been fortunate to do them all over the years! For commercials, I'm often asked for a humorous British 'character' voice. For example, I recorded many spots as "Chester Montgomery, President of the Tennessee Millionaires' Club" for the Tennessee Lottery. I've also voiced commercials for car dealers, a boat dealer, newspapers, real estate companies and restaurants. On the other hand, I've recorded several voiceovers for video documentaries about Martin Luther and Charles Wesley, among others. I was the "voice" of Mark Catesby in the award-winning PBS documentary, "The Curious Mister Catesby and narrated the Public TV documentary, "For One English Officer." I have also voiced numerous children's audio books for clients such as Disney and Little Golden Books, including "T'was The Night Before Christmas."
I attended an art college in Rochester, England, and went from there to numerous advertising agencies in London where I began doing voice work for TV and radio commercials. On moving to the USA, I took several courses to develop my acting skills.
I can use my iMac to record voice tracks or go to one of the many studios here in Nashville!
I am also an experienced screen actor, having appeared in a large number of music videos and television commercials for banks, hospitals, a furniture manufacturer, a famous restaurant chain and others. As a former Ad agency 'creative,' I fully understand the needs of the client and can take direction without ego issues! I am also a skilled storyboard artist providing storyboards for movie directors, TV companies and advertising agencies. I have also taught pre-production at Film Schools and frequently work on music-related projects in and around Nashville. I am totally comfortable working with directors, producers and executives at every level. I believe it is my role to interpret YOUR creative concepts.
