Good day my friends. My name is Mike Fletcher and I am a successful radio announcer. In other words, I am a disc jockey. But, it doesn't stop there. No, no. I have written and recorded hundreds of various commercial spots and logged thousands of hours of musical entertainment. The industry refers to this as "On-Air Talent."
My last gig was on an oldies station in Flagler Beach, Florida known as "The Blizzard", 93.3 FM. I have always loved to speak in public. Actually, friends have remarked that I simply don't know when to shut up. But they also add that there is a special quality reflected in my voice. It's a unique sound which forces people to listen to what I have to say. It's a gift. I've never had professional training; my talent is natural.
I am capeable of coming across as sincere, fun and light hearted, dramatic, warm, smooth,or professional.
Give me some copy and listen. Be careful though, I just might make you buy something.
I have an AA in Radio and TV Arts and Broadcast Journalism. I have written as a free lancer since 1998 and have been published in a national motorcycle magazine known as Thunder Press along with several local cycle newspapers.
I took Public Speaking classes in high school, but quickly learned that I didn't need them. The head of the Journalism Department in college made me the News Director of the college radio station due to my unique delivery of the copy. In the Navy, I became the manager of the Armed Forces Radio facility and was on the air several hours each day. Our C.O. often asked me to present important information on air to our officers and enlisted men because I was able to capture their attion and hold it.
As I mentioned previously, I have written, produced and delivered live commercials for dozens of various companies on the radio.
My voice and confidence are my outstanding qualities.
I'm a mature, responsible, and dedicated man. Direct me in the presentation of your product or service or just hand me the copy and let me run. Aside from my talent as a speaker, I have had a number of jobs as a sales associate. Success has followed me in that field not only because of salesmanship, but moreover due to my friendly and sincere approach to product description and explanation. I won't make you unhappy....I'll make you famous. Send me to a studio soon.
