I have read voiceovers for a couple of local commercials on a local radio station WJOB 1230 AM in Hammond, IN. I voiced and produced these commercials. Other than that I have not had any major voiceover experience although working in broadcasting is something I have done. I am a ring announcer for many mixed martial arts promotions. I am no stranger to performing and reading clearly and concisely on a script. Voiceover remains an avenue that I would love to explore and I believe I have the tools to do it.
I went to Columbia College Chicago in 2012 and graduated with a radio degree in May of 2016. While I was at Columbia, I took several voiceover classes and received some of the best training around Chicago. I learned from voiceover pros, Talon Beeson, Marssie Mencotti, and Deb Doetzer. I learned many wonderful things from these great people who taught me the voiceover world. They critiqued my voiceover work and helped me improve as a voiceover artist whether it was narration, commercial, or video game scripts. I grew so much learning from them in 2 years of training with them. After taking these classes, I knew the voiceover world was something I wanted to dive into. This is very serious to me and I am very excited to start.
There is a studio nearby my house that I have access to with Pro Tools & Adobe Audition. They have a full microphone and soundproof studio.
I know how to produce commercials using Pro Tools or Adobe Audition. I also have written many commercial spots and PSAs for my college radio station. Outside of voiceover, like I said earlier, I am a professional ring announcer for mixed martial arts and boxing events so I can project my voice in an exciting manner if need be.
