I have a wide range of experience outside doing voice over's that allows me to do many types of work in the field. Having experience in theater, I can do a wide range of accents and moods depending on the tone of the reading... I have done straight theater as well as singing leads in musicals. I have also spent many years as a children's story teller with local library and church programs.
I landed my first voice over job when I worked as community hospital operator. One afternoon I answered a phone call from a recording producer that later saught me out and offered me a recording job. It was also around this time that I met my future husband over the phone... He was a surgeon and it was my job at the hospital to call him into the ER for cases. He says he fell in love with my voice a year before we ever actually met face to face. Then fate was sealed.
I have experience in performing arts and have recieved training (through and with theater companies, as well) in dialect, speech, various accents and pronunciation among other things from a few of the best coaches on the west coast.
I have a master's degree in professional writing and english.
