From recording multiple music albums, to doing promo spots for NBC5 News Chicago, I have a great depth of experience in recording and expressing both the sung and spoken word.
I've always been a quick study, and quite simply enjoy the work and process of getting words, spoken or sung, recorded right. I've been told I'm easy and fun to work with; in addition to that, I know what it means to be good at communicating and being on time with projects.
I graduated with a major in French, and received a degree from a French language school in Angers, France.
From the age of 6, I studied classical piano and performed in various competitions and recitals. I started playing classical guitar and cello in my teenage years, and since then have been a singer/songwriter writing and performing my own music on many stages. I have a great deal of experience with microphones both in live performance and in studio recording situations, and that informs my voice-over work.
Throughout my schooling, I also took part in a lot of theatrical productions, and learned a great deal about how to use my voice in the most powerful and efficient way possible.
I own a Macintosh, and am well-versed in Garageband, Logic and Audacity recording and editing. I use an Audio Technica microphone and a Scarlett 2i2 Interface.
I've always enjoyed learning about new cultures and love taking a lot of information in on different subjects. I think this informs my work and approach to projects by giving me an expansive world view; it allows me to bring a rich life experience to whatever I do.
Growing up in a multi-lingual household where Armenian and English were spoken, in addition to Farsi, Spanish and French, as allowed me to pick up accents and mimic different voices and sounds with great ease.
