Sitting in my 9th grade class; I'm attentive, curious, and willing to learn...On a good day. Usually I'm bored with all the lectures my teacher throws at me and I find myself having a hard time paying attention to her. The way she spoke was aggravatingly annoying. She couldn't pronounce. She couldn't flow. She couldn't even read in a tone that the text was written in. I'd have to catch myself from throwing verbal corrections in her direction, she hated to be corrected.
One day, she said she had a sore throat (probably from doing what she does best) and asked the class to read aloud a sheet she had passed around. Nobody wanted to at first, so I decided to give it a shot.
I read it aloud. When I was done, I looked up from my sheet and found that nearly every person in the room was looking at me. I didn't know what to think at first.
When the second part of the sheet was passed around, she picked on someone else to read. This person said that she couldn't because she had a sore throat as well, so I took the job again.
Reluctantly, I read again. This time adding emphasis on words we all know our teacher would've missed.
It was funny, I liked the reactions I got from them. But reading off a sheet (about sentence structure) wasn't very exciting.
Whenever we read from our English book, which had short stories, I was frequently picked on to read aloud. Since then, I realized that I could do something with this. I began tweaking my voice and trying out different sounds.
I attended Academy of Art University, in San Francisco California. While pursuing an acting major, I took a few voice classes and workshops. One was how to sing, and another was developing voice for character use. That was my favorite. I never thought that speaking could be an art form as well as an effective communication method. I have various exercises that I frequently practice, and apply to keep my chords going.
I have worked with boom mics, and laser mics. I have been in a studio a few times for some projects, but I was always told to "speak here". I do, however, have a basic knowledge of microphone use and application. I understand aspects such as bass, and treble, and effects application.
I am an actor. I am patient. I can perform sound effects. I can do heavy lifting. I'm good to talk to. I have directed a film, which can be found online at google.com. typing my name under videos should be sufficient. I have a talent for creative writing and story construction.
