I'm 36 years old and I've been onstage nearly my entire life. I was a theatre Major at The Ohio State University. I've done reginal commercials in Ohio. I've also performed for a theatre company out of Columbus Ohio and opened for Chubby Checker, Amy Grany, Richard Marx and others. These shows were in Chicago, NY and Nashville. For the last 15 years I've been performing on Carnival Cruise Lines and I've been a Cruise Director for the last 6 years there. As a Cruise Director, I have to use my voice all day, every day. I'm known as "The Voice of the Ship" If you've ever taken a cruise, you'll know what I mean.
As I've mentioned, I've been a Cruise Director for many years at Carnival Cruise Lines and I have to make numerous PA announcements every day to over 3000 guests. These announcements must be clearly understood at all times. It's like voice acting over the PA. I also beleive my background in Theatre and performance onstage(which I must do nightly on board) makes for great experience as I must keep my audience focused and entertained. I talk non-stop on stage because the worst thing is a dead-silence.
You name it, I can do it. I can't tell you how many times guests come up to me at the end of a cruise and say "You sould be on Radio" "You should do cartoon voiceover work" Well, I'm taking there advice and going in head first. I promise, I won't let you down. I was meant for this.
