My voice career began in 1967 in broadcasting. Over the years I have worked all formats. I have recorded commercials for basically every product know to man. Many times I was called upon to write and produce the spots. For more than 20 years I have been working with Beach TV in Panama City Beach, Florida. They operate Visitor Information television stations for which I have recorded countless amounts of audio. This is due in part because they have Visitor Information stations in Panama City Beach, Florida, Walton County, Florida, Atlanta, Georgia, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, New Orleans, Louisiana, and Key West, Florida, and I have spots running in each of these markets.
More than 30 years ago I developed a character. Gabby, the prospector, for Angelo's Steak Pit in Panama City Beach, Florida. Since then I have been recording spots for Angelo's in the voice of Gabby. Angelo's Steak Pit has been proclaimed in Southern Living Magazine as "one of the best places to get a steak." Each February I am sent copy for, and record 27 commercials for them, reflecting different menu offerings and opening times. Then I record 8 different phone messages reflecting the different opening times depending on the time of the tourist season
I have a national spot running on Ship Shape TV for Styre Diesel Engines
I am the voice of the engineer for Lionel Trains Union Pacific #3967
I wrote, produced, read and played dulcimer on a 20 minute narration for the Tallulah falls Railroad Museum in Dillard, Georgia
I have recorded 4 audio books "The Applebearer" by Sophia Holt, a children's book relating the origin of Santa Claus, "Please Don't Feed the Dolphins" by Timothy D. Thomas, an environmentally conscious children's book outlining the dangers of feeding wild dolphins, and for the Bay County Public Library system, in Panama City Florida, 2 books by Timothy D. Thomas. I was videotaped reading"Buddy Manatee" and "A Manatee Christmas" both books have a environmental theme. This was part of a program initiated by the library to encourage kids to read. They check out the book and go to a kiosk where read along with the video.
