I did some voice performing in high school in non-professional live plays.
I have done one live commercial that included both voice and on camera performance as well as one a VoiceOver commercial. Both commercials were for the local tourism bureau promoting "Tour for the Cure" (local breast cancer fundraising group).
The live commercial was promoting a golf outing fundraiser. My character was a golfer inviting people to "come join the fight for a cure" while having fun on the course. It was serious in the beginning and ended light hearted and fun. It was an online feature on the SE Indiana tourism website and their YouTube channel.
The VoiceOver commercial was also for "Tour for the Cure" promoting "Perfectly Pink Tubing" at the local ski slopes. 15 second spot promoting the event. It starts out with a "Pure Michigan" tone and moves into a more upbeat fun tone, ending with light seriousness. The commercial aired on network television in the greater Cincinnati area.
I have no professional VoiceOver training, but have been a part of armature performing groups and worked in the advertising and marketing field for more than 15 years.
I have worked as an advertising director and spokesperson for the newspaper group in our area. In my more than 15 years there I emcee'd several "taste of Home Magazine" cooking school shows with nearly 1000 audience members. I have been part of the I Luv Lawreneburg Fall Fest royalty contest presenting the contestants to a live audience of as many as 30,000 attendees. In that professional role I was also asked to be a presenter several times or speak at local functions in the area.
