In 1987, I began working at an independent television station. Almost right away, producers were looking for voice over people to do commercials, promos and psa's on a volunteer basis. As a volunteer, I ended up doing a ton of that kind of work, then I became the "voice of the station" for nearly 3 years doing bumps and ID's. The producers usually said that my voice was sultry, feminine and articulate. They also had me do a few in a French accent since I was born in Paris and grew up in Morocco and had a fun and or funny French accent in English. I also did one funny British accent for a particular client looking for just that.
After 10 years of doing voice work as a volunteer, I went into the wine business and became a sales specialist for another 10 years.
Now I am recovering from 2 back surgeries and am no longer allowed, per my surgeon, to drive around nearly all day selling wine to restaurants and stores. I am now looking for freelance work that I can do at my own pace. I know I have a voice and always enjoyed the work.
I am presently self-taught regarding voice overs, however, I am looking into taking acting/breathing classes and workshops to improve my craft.
My professional background includes working at 3 advertising agencies, 1 publishing house, 1 television station and then working as a sales specialist in the wine industry for nearly a decade. As a result, I am a polished, articulate person with a lot of natural, wholesome charisma.
I am intelligent and personable, plus I believe in being the ultimate professional when it comes to my work. I understand the importance of doing a job to the best of my ability and pleasing the client. You can expect me to be on time, work endless hours and still have a great attitude.
